Ishant Sharma
Founder & Lead Architect at Pennion
Engineering instruments for clarity, autonomy, and the open web.
Hi, I'm Ishant Sharma. I founded Pennion to build software for the internet we wish existed—principled, local-first, lightning fast, and free of algorithmic noise.
“The modern web does not need more speculative pitch decks or surveillance ad-tech. It needs thoughtful instruments engineered with obsessive craft, uncompromising user privacy, and enduring utility.”
Architectural Pillars & Convictions
Local-First & Zero Telemetry
Software must respect the human who uses it. We prioritize client-side execution, local cryptographic storage, and absolute zero telemetry tracking.
Deterministic AI & Precision
Applied machine intelligence should amplify human reasoning, not produce confident hallucinations. Grounded in statutory truth and verified citations.
Tactile Speed & Low Latency
Eliminate 50MB JavaScript bundles and bloated hydration. Build native-speed instruments that respond to user intention in milliseconds.
Craft Over Hype
Independent and sovereign. Pennion operates as a digital laboratory where real utility takes precedence over speculative venture cycles.
The Pennion Odyssey
Pennion began as an uncompromising antidote to the clutter and surveillance dominant in contemporary software. Over years of observing how digital products evolved from helpful tools into addictive engagement traps, the necessity for an independent laboratory became obvious.
We started with NyayaShastra—a mission to make statutory legal codes, citizen rights, and judicial frameworks accessible to any individual without legal jargon or surveillance. From there, the lab expanded into ergonomic browser extensions (ExtensionNest), distraction-free study spaces (FocusTube), creator distribution workbenches (CreatorDesk), and tactile audio synthesis (InterfaceLabs).
Every project built under the Pennion banner adheres to the same fundamental compact: no arbitrary tracking, no manipulative dark patterns, and absolute respect for your cognitive bandwidth.
Current Research & Active Systems
Statutory AI & Legal Literacy
Advancing structured legal reasoning engines that translate archaic statutes into plain citizen rights with verifiable precedent tracking.
Browser Ergonomics & Manifest V3
Designing hyper-efficient, privacy-hardened browser extensions that run purely in sandboxed worker environments.
Procedural Audio & Spatial Computing
Exploring browser-native Web Audio API synthesis and tactile feedback systems that make web interfaces feel physically responsive.
Autonomous Edge Infrastructure
Deploying zero-cold-start architectures on distributed Anycast edge runtimes with hardened security headers.
